7.18.24 – An Extremely Overdue Redistricting Update
Dear users,
It’s only a few years overdue, but we’ve finally updated the toolkit with new districts and lawmakers following the 2021 redistricting. We apologize for the delay—we have had changes in personnel and the outdated information only came to our attention recently.
Due to extensive redrawing and renumbering of districts that took place and lacking any option to automatically update districts for all users, we have reset the “Your Lawmakers” section of every user profile. Currently, the only lawmakers appearing in “Your Lawmakers” should be your two U.S. senators, who represent the whole state and thus every Utahn.
If you would like to update your profile and the “Your Lawmaker” section, it’s a simple fix! All you have to do is retake the third lesson, “Find Your Lawmakers,” in the “Getting to Know You” Course. You can find that lesson here. Look up your lawmakers using the link on the page, answer the three questions in the form, and your lawmakers should then show up under “Your Lawmakers” on your homepage.
Again, we apologize for the delay in getting this update pushed out to the Toolkit. Rest assured that updates to lawmakers will be timely reflected following future redistricting and election cycles.
If you have any issues with this update or any other part of the Toolkit, please reach out to us at info@betterutah.institute and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
Sincerely,
The Better Utah Institute Team
